One UI 9 Leak Reveals Stunning New Design for Now Bar, Widgets & Gallery

1. Now Bar Gets Darker & More Dynamic

The popular pill-shaped Now Bar on the lock screen and Always On Display now features a deeper black background for better contrast.

When music is playing, the song title appears at the top, and a smooth wavy animation flows across the bottom of the bar. Long-pressing the bar gives quick options to remove the toggle or open settings.

2. Widgets Receive Squared-Off Design

Several system widgets (including Samsung Browser, Weather, and Now Bar widget) now have more squared corners instead of heavily rounded ones. This creates a cleaner and more consistent look across the home screen.

Samsung may add presets so users can choose their preferred level of rounding.

3. Improved Gallery Selection Box

When selecting multiple photos or videos, a softly blurred rectangular box appears at the bottom. Selected images instantly show inside the box (up to 15 visible at once). This makes it much easier to see what you've chosen.
