Samsung One UI 8.5 beta now live for Galaxy S25 series! Full list of devices in testing (S24, S23 & more), new features, and 2025-2026 rollout details

Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8.5 beta program on December 8, 2025, marking a significant mid-cycle update built on Android 16. This release focuses on enhancing creativity, connectivity, and security across the Galaxy ecosystem, with new AI-powered tools, seamless cross-device features, and improved privacy controls.

The update introduces easier ways to create and edit content, connect devices effortlessly, and protect personal data. Key highlights include an upgraded Photo Assist for uninterrupted AI editing, Storage Share for direct file access across Galaxy devices (including TVs), customizable Quick Settings panels, enhanced Auracast audio broadcasting (now with voice support), and advanced theft protection features like Failed Authentication Lock.

Public Beta Program (Now Live)

The beta is currently exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series in select countries: Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US. Note that the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE are not included at this stage.Eligible devices for the public beta:
