Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold launched! 10" tri-fold phone, 200MP cam, global 2026.
Samsung has just launched the Galaxy Z TriFold — the first tri-fold smartphone that will actually be sold globally, not just in China. Unveiled on December 2, 2025, this device finally delivers what foldable fans have been dreaming of for years: a pocket-sized phone that opens up into a proper 10-inch tablet.
Unlike every previous tri-fold concept or the China-only Huawei Mate XT, Samsung’s version comes with full Google services, worldwide band support, and the promise of seven years of software updates.

Why This Tri-Fold Feels Different
Samsung spent six years and over 50 hinge prototypes to get this right. The result is a dual-rail “Armor FlexHinge” that closes with zero gap and shows almost no crease when unfolded a clear step ahead of the current Z Fold series.
When closed, it feels like a slightly thick regular flagship. Open it once and you have a large phone experience. Open it fully and you’re holding a legitimate mini-tablet that’s perfect for multitasking, video editing, or reading documents.
Camera Performance
Despite the engineering complexity, Samsung managed to fit the same 200 MP main sensor used in the S25 Ultra, complete with 3x optical zoom and dramatically improved low-light processing. Early samples show this is easily the best camera system ever put in a foldable.
Global Pricing & Availability
- South Korea – Pre-orders begin December 3, 2025; in stores December 12
- China – Available December 20, 2025
- USA, Europe, India, etc. – February 2026
Expected starting price sits between $2,199 and $2,599 depending on region and storage expensive, but significantly more accessible than limited-run Chinese tri-folds that resell for $4,000+ on the grey market.
Galaxy Z TriFold vs Huawei Mate XT
Huawei got there first, but the Mate XT remains unavailable outside China and runs without Google services. Samsung’s version wins on:
- Global availability & carrier support
- Full Play Store and Google ecosystem
- Longer software support
- Superior outdoor screen brightness
- Better optimized triple-camera system
Should You Buy It?
If you’ve ever wished your phone could genuinely replace a tablet or you simply want the most futuristic device money can buy in 2025 the Galaxy Z TriFold is the first foldable that actually delivers on that vision without major compromises.
Yes, it’s pricey. But for early adopters and power users, this is the device that finally makes the “one device for everything” dream feel real.
Pre orders open tomorrow in Korea. The rest of the world follows in early 2026. Are you getting one?
